Song Ma launches spring 2025 tree planting festival

The People's Committee of Song Ma district on February 5 organised a ceremony to launch a tree planting festival for spring 2025 in Muong Sai commune.

In 2025, Song Ma will continue to disseminate the purpose and significance of the festival to the local people. The district will prepare all necessary resources, including land, seedlings, materials, and human resources, to organise widespread tree planting activities. It will also make efficient use of funds from forest environmental services to reinvest in forestry development. The goal is to plant over 30,000 trees of various types, contributing to the successful completion of tree planting and forest development plans, including the “One Billion Trees Project” and the “Sustainable Forestry Development Plan” for 2025.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the delegates planted 40 trees at the campus of the police station of Muong Sai commune, and along National Highway 4G in the Muong Sai area.
