On September 22, after receiving information that the provincial General Hospital had a patient in urgent need of a blood transfusion, policemen from the Son La Mobile Police Division donated blood to save the patient.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province (VFF Son La) on September 23 received 50 million VND (2,030 USD) from Son La Lottery Company Limited to support locals in overcoming natural disaster consequences.

The Quyet Thang Secondary School in Son La city on September 22 visited and donated 25 tonnes of cement, worth 40 million VND (1,625 USD), to Ngoc Chien commune in Muong La district to help it recover from natural disasters.

A delegation from the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Promoting Education and the NHQ Edu System in the city on September 19-20 presented gifts and scholarships to students affected by the recent flooding in Moc Chau and Van Ho districts.

After the prolonged flooding, on September 21, Son La city mobilised over 500 people, including armed forces, officials, public servants, and youth union members from the city and Chieng Den commune, to help residents in Phieng Nghe hamlet clean up the environment and stabilise their lives and production.

In response to the call from the Standing Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province (VFF Son La), on September 20, the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) donated 1.1 billion VND ($44,706 USD) to help the province recover from the consequences of natural disasters.

The Son La provincial Youth Union on September 20 organized the "Son La Youth with Traffic Culture" Festival at the Phu Yen Town Secondary School in Phu Yen district, attracting nearly 550 delegates, teachers and students.

A delegation of the provincial Department of Health on September 20 coordinated with Moc Chau district’s Medical Centre, Hanoi-based SOHACO Pharmaceutical and Trading Group JSC and other medical units to provide medical examinations, consultations, and free medicines for people in Hua Pang commune affected by floods.

On September 18-19, the Di Nau charity group from Hanoi’s Thach That district collaborated with the An Giang charity group from An Giang province and Hanoi-based Thang Long Equipment JSC to present gifts to students at schools in disadvantaged areas of Phu Yen district.

The ODA Project Management Board of Son La province, in collaboration with Muong Khieng commune, Thuan Chau district, organised a ceremony on September 19 to inaugurate and hand over a charitable house to the family of Quang Van Phu, a poor household in Sao Va hamlet.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province (VFF Son La) on September 19 organized a ceremony to receive aid from the Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG) to fix the consequences of typhoons Prapiroon and Yagi. Attending the event was Le Hong Minh, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee.

As of September 17, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province (VFF Son La) had received nearly 15 billion VND (609,138 USD) in donations from organisations, businesses, and donors both within and outside the province to help locals mitigate the consequences of natural disasters.

The provincial Youth Union on September 16 held the inauguration ceremony for the "Beautiful School for Children" project at the Puc hamlet facility of Hoa Hong Kindergarten in Chieng Khuong commune, Song Ma district.

A delegation of the provincial Youth Union visited and presented gifts to children in difficult circumstances, and children from policy beneficiary families and those affected by storms and floods in Chieng Khuong commune, Song Ma district on September 16.

The Son La provincial Youth Union on September 16 received 15 tonnes of essential goods from residents in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho to support those affected by natural disasters in Son La province.

In response to the call from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and the provincial Red Cross Society, on September 16, the Chieng Le Primary School in Son La city organised a programme to raise fund in support of the northern communities affected by typhoon Yagi.

Nafood Group JSC, based in the central province of Nghe An, on September 15 coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Muong La district to present gifts to people affected by natural disasters in Ngoc Chien commune.

The Nam Lanh Border Guard Station, in collaboration with the Youth Union of Muong Va commune, production team No. 2 under Regiment 326, and the Binh An charity group, organised a programme to present gifts to students and households in Pa Khoang hamlet, Muong Va commune on September 15.

The Son La provincial Department of Public Security on September 13 coordinated with the Son La College in organising the closing ceremony of a Lao language training course for policemen in 2024.

Residents in Chieng Sinh ward along with a large number of business households and individuals in Son La city on September 11 donated sticky rice, green beans, dong leaves, pork, and cash to make banh chung (square glutinous rice cake) for flood-affected people.
