Students learn about Vietnam People's Army through experiential programme

The To Hieu Secondary School in Son La city organised a programme on December 16 titled "A day as a soldier" at a unit under the provincial Military Command. The event was to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the All-People Defence Festival (December 22, 1989 - 2024).

A total of 280 students from 8th and 9th grades of the To Hieu Secondary School participated in various activities guided by officers and soldiers, such as visiting the military unit, exploring armored vehicles, engaging in formation practices, maintaining barracks hygiene, and navigating obstacles. Additionally, the programme featured team-building games and art performances.

The programme helped students gain a deeper understanding of the sacrifices and hardships endured by Uncle Ho's soldiers, thus fostering a greater sense of awareness and responsibility in their study and personal development, inspiring them to contribute to national defence and construction. 

Representatives of the school present a gift to the military unit.

On this occasion, the school extended greetings and presented gifts to the officers and soldiers of the military unit./.
