"Spring of Love" programme held in Bo Sinh commune

Son La Newspaper, along with various organizations and businesses both inside and outside the province, coordinated with Bo Sinh commune to organize the "Xuan yeu thuong" (Spring of Love) programme in Bo Sinh commune, Song Ma district on December 14.

Leaders of Son La Newspaper, the Song Ma district People's Committee, and various units and businesses deliver gifts to Hoa Phuong Do Kindergarten.

During the event, Son La Newspaper donated Tet gifts to the Party Committee and People's Committee of Bo Sinh commune, as well as 20 Tet gift packages (worth 500,000 VND or 20 USD each) to poor households. They also provided 200 kg of corn seeds to the communal Women's Union to help local members with economic development.

Hanoi-based Tan Phat Equipment Technology Joint Stock Company donated four grass cutters to poor households, as well as 50 warm blankets, 366 sets of warm clothing, 93 sets of children's clothes, one refrigerator, 366 schoolbags, 10 bookshelves, milk, and candy to the local kindergarten and primary school.

The Hanoi Association of Key Industrial Products Manufacturers (HAMI) gave 10 Tet gift packages (worth 500,000 VND each) to poor households and 62 boxes of milk to the local kindergarten. The Son La Power Company also donated 10 Tet gift packages to poor households. In total, the value of the gifts exceeded 200 million VND (8,000 USD).

As part of the programme, the Son La Newspaper Youth Union launched the "Breeding Goat Bank" project to assist members and young people facing difficult circumstances. The project provided 25 breeding goats to five poor members (each with five). After 15 months, these households will return the five goats, along with one additional goat weighing at least 14kg, to support other young people in need.
