Thanh Hoa, Son La families present gifts to Quynh Nhai district

The Pham family from Thanh Hoa province and the Tong family from Son La province on December 7 visited and presented gifts to people in need in Quynh Nhai district.

 

The gift-giving programme in Quynh Nhai district by the Pham family from Thanh Hoa province and the Tong family from Son La province.

The event was attended Lo Viet Phuong, deputy head of the Ombudsman of the National Assembly; Dang Ngoc Hau, Vice Chairman of the Son La provincial People's Committee; leaders from Quynh Nhai, Muong La, and Yen Chau districts; leaders of EVN Son La and the Son La Transport Works Management Board; and representatives from the Pham family in Thanh Hoa and the Tong family in Son La.

Under the programme, the Vietnam Electricity (EVN) donated 500 million VND (25,000 USD) to help rebuild 10 temporary houses; and the two families presented 550 million VND to support the upgrading of 11 others in the district. In addition, the two families donated 65 sets of tables and chairs for Chieng Bang Primary School, 65 sets of dishes for poor households in Chieng Bang commune, 50 blankets, and 146 warm jackets for disadvantaged primary school students in the locality.

These gifts are significant and practical, reflecting the spirit of mutual support and compassion, helping Quynh Nhai district improve living conditions for people in difficult areas and achieve its new-style rural area building goals. They also encourage local people to continue fostering their tradition of solidarity, working hard in production, and contributing to the development of a prosperous Quynh Nhai.
