A conference in response to National Digital Transformation Day 2024, themed “Universalizing digital infrastructure and creating digital applications to develop the digital economy - A new driving force for economic growth and labour productivity,” took place in Son La province on October 9.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Hoang Quoc Khanh and Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Lo Minh Hung on October 3 co-chaired a conference to review the three-year implementation of Conclusion No. 94-KL/TU dated January 23, 2021 of the provincial Party Committee on tourism development in Son La province until 2025, with a vision towards 2030.

The provincial Association for Promoting Education on October 1 held a ceremony to launch the “Week of Lifelong Learning”, announce winners of the 4th provincial “Excellent Education Promotion Officials” Competition 2024, and mark the 16th Vietnam Education Promotion Day (October 2, 2008-2024).

The provincial Department of Education and Training on September 27 coordinated with the Vietnam Publishing and Educational Equipment Investment Joint Stock Company to donate nearly 1,500 books and three televisions to school libraries in Phu Yen district.

Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and head of the its Commission for Information and Education, on September 13 examined efforts to fix the consequences of floods caused by typhoon Yagi and presented gifts to affected families in Hua Pang commune, Moc Chau district.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province (VFF Son La) on September 12 launched a fundraising campaign to support efforts to fix consequences caused by super typhoon Yagi.

Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Lo Minh Hung, along with other members of the committee’s Standing Board, inspected Party membership development models and anti-drug control efforts at the Party Organisation of Na Nghiu commune, Song Ma district.
