Attending the programme were Hoang Van Nghiem, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and head of the provincial delegation of National Assembly deputies; Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Cha A Cua, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and President of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; along with representatives of provincial departments and agencies, leaders of Xuan Nha and Chieng Son communes, and local residents.
At the ceremony, the provincial Border Guard Command launched a tree-planting movement to express gratitude to and follow the teachings of beloved President Ho Chi Minh. The activity carries significant meaning in protecting the ecological environment while contributing to economic development, poverty reduction, and affirming national border sovereignty and security.
During this campaign, the unit implemented three “Macadamia Garden” models in Xuan Nha, Muong Lan, and Muong Leo communes, with a total of 3,000 seedlings supported by the provincial Party Committee and the Son La Macadamia Association. In Tham Ton hamlet alone, 1,500 macadamia trees were planted on an area of 1.5 hectares. This has been identified as a pilot model for planning and cultivation techniques, helping officers, soldiers, and local residents study, learn from, and replicate the model.
