In this year’s enlistment, 140 young people from Yen Chau, Chieng Hac, Long Phieng, Yen Son and Phieng Khoai have been called up to join the military. Among them, 35 citizens are assigned to departments and units under the provincial Department of Public Security, and 105 others to military units.

Thanks to thorough preparation of recruitment sources, assigning specific targets to each commune and strengthening communication efforts, 100% of the targets for military enlistment and recruitment to the People’s Public Security forces have been reached. The selected recruits all met the required standards in political qualities, education level and health, ensuring the conditions necessary to begin their service.

The new recruits expressed their determination to follow the traditions of previous generations, and continue improving their knowledge and skills to become capable soldiers in the armed forces, and exemplary citizens contributing to the continued development of their homeland.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Viet praised the efforts of agencies, units and communal authorities for properly implementing the procedures for recruiting citizens for military service.
He also appreciated and thanked the receiving units for their active and responsible coordination, expressing confidence that in the coming time they would work together with local authorities and families to continue educating and training the recruits so that they become capable soldiers who successfully fulfill their assigned tasks.
He urged Party committees, authorities, agencies, organisations and people of the communes to continue implementing policies supporting soldiers’ families, encourage citizens to perform their duties with peace of mind, and create favourable conditions so that when they return home they can continue contributing to the local socio-economic development and national defence and security.
