Attending the ceremony were Hoang Van Nghiem, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and head of the provincial delegation of National Assembly deputies; Cha A Cua, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and head of the contest organising committee; among others.
Implementing the plan of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation on organising the 2026 national excellent rapporteurs and public communicators, Son La province launched the competition from the grassroots level. A total of 69 out of 79 Party committees directly under the provincial Party Committee organised local contests, attracting 810 contestants. Subsequently, 76 of the 79 Party committees selected and nominated 78 contestants to participate in the provincial preliminary round.
At the provincial level, the organising committee evaluated 78 presentation outlines and video submissions during the preliminary round, selecting the 20 highest-scoring contestants for the final round. In the finals, contestants competed in three sections: preparing a presentation outline, delivering a presentation, and answering questions.
According to the organising committee, the competition topics closely reflected the theme of promoting the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the resolutions of Party congresses at all levels for the 2025–2030 term. The presentations also demonstrated strong connections with the practical realities of localities, agencies, and units.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Cha A Cua called on Party committees and organisations at all levels to continue strengthening leadership and direction in reforming oral communication and public information work. He emphasised improving the quality and effectiveness of the contingent of rapporteurs and communicators in a practical, efficient, and grassroots-oriented manner.
He also encouraged every rapporteur and communicator to maintain a spirit of continuous learning and self-improvement, enhance their political theory, practical knowledge, and professional skills, and proactively apply digital transformation and information technology in communication activities.
At the conclusion of the contest, the organising committee awarded the first prize to contestant Cao Le Quyen from the Song Ma commune Party Organisation. Two second prizes, three third prizes, five consolation prizes, and nine special awards were also presented.
In addition, Cao Le Quyen and Ca Van Minh from the Muong E commune Party Organisation were selected to represent Son La province at the regional contest to be organised by the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation.
