At the meeting, representatives of departments, agencies, investors, and construction contractors reported on the progress of project components after the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday. They also pointed out several difficulties and obstacles during implementation, such as the supply and quality of construction materials, as well as shortages of materials, labour, and equipment for construction.
Now local authorities are continuing to carry out the appraisal and approval of project documents and the payment of site clearance compensation to affected households in accordance with regulations. Regarding the preparation, submission for appraisal, and approval of the basic design, six communes (except Muong Hung) have completed the documentation, and the appraisal results for all components are expected to be issued before March 10.
Concluding the meeting, Tien requested investors to focus on completing the main project components and take responsibility for construction progress and quality. Construction units were asked to proactively supplement human resources and equipment, and to develop detailed weekly construction plans to be submitted to the provincial People’s Committee for monitoring and supervision.
At the same time, departments and agencies were urged to strengthen coordination, promptly address difficulties, complete legal procedures, and create favourable conditions to accelerate the project implementation.
