Election preparations in Bac Yen and Ta Khoa communes inspected

Vi Duc Tho, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, together with a working delegation, on March 14 inspected preparations for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in Bac Yen and Ta Khoa communes.

As of March 14, Bac Yen commune had completed all preparations for election day. The commune has five constituencies and 27 polling stations, with 12,469 voters. Communication activities have been strengthened through the loudspeaker system, the communal website, social media platforms, and direct information sessions in 27 hamlets and residential areas, reaching more than 7,300 participants.

In Ta Khoa commune, the communal Election Committee has proactively prepared sufficient facilities at five constituencies and 25 polling stations, compiling a voter list of 10,039 voters. Decoration and visual communication have been implemented synchronously. Local police and military forces have been fully mobilised to ensure security and order, traffic safety, and fire prevention before and during election day.

Election teams in the two communes have also simultaneously conducted rehearsals for the opening ceremony and practiced the voting procedures, carrying out a comprehensive review of election preparations and promptly supplementing and completing necessary conditions. Currently, the communes are continuing to review voters with disabilities, illness, or old age in order to arrange the use of mobile ballot boxes on election day.

To ensure the successful election day, the Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council requested local authorities to continue updating population changes to ensure that no eligible voters are missed and that voting rights are exercised in accordance with legal regulations. Localities were also asked to develop detailed plans to protect polling stations and proactively prepare response scenarios for possible situations, ensuring that the election is conducted democratically, lawfully, and safely.
