In Muoi Noi commune, the gameshow featured three teams from Dong Hung, Pua and Phang hamlets. The teams competed in three rounds: “Skillful Hands, Craft Mastery,” “Excellent Singing and Dancing,” and “Folk Games and Ethnic Sports.”
As a key Arabica coffee-growing area of the province, in the “Folk Games and Ethnic Sports” round, the teams competed in a coffee roasting contest. At the same time, the cultural identity of the Thai ethnic group was vividly showcased through dancing and singing performances, traditional musical instruments and the blindfolded duck-catching game. The competitions took place in a lively atmosphere, bringing joy and attracting a large number of local people.
In Binh Thuan commune, two teams from Nam Giat and Cong Chap hamlets created an exciting atmosphere with competitions closely tied to the daily work and life of the Mong ethnic people, such as crossbow shooting, lu co knitting and belt embroidering.
The March 2026 edition of the gameshow was recorded in Vietnamese, Thai and Mong, and broadcast on STV, the digital platforms of Son La Newspaper and Radio-Television, as well as on VTV5 channel of Vietnam Television.
Over the years, the “Return to my hamlet” gameshow has become a familiar cultural staple for the ethnic communities in Son La, contributing to the diversity of local television programming, encouraging grassroots cultural and artistic movements, and helping preserve and promote the fine traditional cultural identities of ethnic groups.
On this occasion, Son La Newspaper and Radio-Television presented 10 gift packages to poor households in Muoi Noi and Binh Thuan communes.
