List of 55 elected provincial People’s Council deputies for 2026-2031 term announced

Attending the conference were Hoang Van Nghiem, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, head of the provincial delegation of National Assembly deputies; Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; members of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board; leaders of the People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; leaders of provincial departments and agencies; members of the provincial Election Committee; among others.

At the conference, delegates heard the announcement of the election results for the provincial People’s Council for the 2026–2031 term, along with the Resolution of the provincial Election Committee and the official list of elected deputies.

Luong Thi Nhu Hoa, member of the provincial Party Committee and Director of the Department of Home Affairs, announced the results of the election of deputies to the provincial People’s Council for the 2026–2031 term.

The province had a total of 915,088 eligible voters, of whom 912,514 participated in voting, achieving a turnout rate of 99.72%. This result reflects a strong sense of responsibility and deep trust among the people of all ethnic groups in the province toward the Party, the State, and authorities at all levels. All polling stations completed their tasks in accordance with regulations; and no constituency required re-elections, additional elections, or annulment of results. All 75 communes and wards recorded voter turnout exceeding 90%, of them 32 achieved a 100% rate.

Ha Trung Chien, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, announced the Resolution of the provincial Election Committee and the list of elected deputies to the provincial People’s Council for the 2026–2031 term.

As a result, Son La province successfully elected nine National Assembly deputies and 55 provincial People’s Council representatives in accordance with the law. At the commune level, 1,617 out of 1,619 deputies were elected as prescribed. Among the provincial People’s Council deputies, the highest vote share was 98.75%, while the lowest was 79.07%.

The list of elected deputies to the provincial People’s Council reflects a balanced structure and diversity in composition and professional fields. They include key provincial leaders, representatives of Party and government agencies, armed forces, as well as officials working in education, healthcare, science, and business sectors.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Viet emphasised that the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term in the province were conducted democratically, lawfully, safely, economically, and successfully. He affirmed that the election truly served as a “Festival of the People,” demonstrating the will, aspirations, and mastery of the people.

On behalf of the provincial Election Committee, he expressed sincere thanks for the leadership and direction of the provincial Party Committee; the coordination of the People’s Council, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, departments, agencies, mass organisations, and local authorities at the commune level; and the active, responsible participation of voters across the province, all of which contributed significantly to the success of the election.

He also congratulated the elected deputies to the Provincial People’s Council for the 2026–2031 term. The election results and the list of elected representatives have been publicly and transparently announced in accordance with regulations. These deputies are outstanding individuals in terms of qualities and capabilities, representing the will, aspirations, and mastery of the people of all ethnic groups in the province. The provincial Election Committee expressed its expectation that the elected will continue to uphold their responsibility, intellect, and good qualities, making practical contributions to the province’s long-term, sustainable development and meeting the expectations of voters.
