During the first six months of 2026, the subcommittee closely followed and strictly implemented directions from the Ministry of Public Security and the Office of the National Steering Committee for Cybersecurity. Security across the province's information network system remained generally stable. Its shared information systems continued to operate effectively, ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of online public services to residents.
Public communication efforts were further intensified across digital platforms, with the combination of both traditional media with digital communications through diverse formats to raise awareness and strengthen the sense of responsibility among officials, Party members and the public for safeguarding national sovereignty in cyberspace.
The province completed the establishment of a Security Operations Centre (SOC) and deployed centrally managed anti-malware software on more than 9,300 computers, enabling round-the-clock automated monitoring to facilitate early prevention and remote protection, and promptly detect and address cybersecurity risks. Public security units across the province implemented coordinated measures to strengthen the fight against high-tech crime and other technology-related legal violations.
During the period, authorities successfully dismantled three major criminal cases and investigated and launched legal proceedings against 23 cases involving 53 suspects linked to high-tech crime.
Concluding the meeting, Secretary Nghiem called on the standing agency, relevant authorities and members of the provincial Cybersecurity Subcommittee to maintain the effective implementation of the subcommittee's 2026 work plan, and ensure adequate funding for all assigned tasks.
He urged them to expedite investment procedures for the establishment of the provincial Cybersecurity Centre, complete the approval of security classification levels for all information systems, and strengthen the protection of critical information infrastructure, shared information systems and databases serving the province's leadership, administration and the delivery of public services. He also stressed the need to enhance the effectiveness of cybersecurity monitoring, early warning, threat detection and incident response./.
