Son La city’s Lo Van Gia - Quyet Thang road inaugurated

Son La city on February 2 held a ceremony to inaugurate Lo Van Gia - Quyet Thang road as a project to celebrate the 94th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - 2024).

Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the road.

Construction on the street started in 2019. However the implementation process encountered some difficulties and obstacles in site clearance and capital allocation. By the end of 2021, the project was resumed. With the drastic engagement of the Party committees and authorities at all levels and the high consensus of the people in Chieng An and Quyet Thang wards, the route has been completed.

The project had a total investment of over 63 billion VND ($2.6 million), sourced from the city budget. The road has a total length of more than 3 km from the intersection at the end of Road 3/2 to the end point connecting with the intersection N142 on Nam La stream embankment. The asphalt concrete road has a 9.5m-wide foundation, a 5.5m-wide surface, and drainage systems, ensuring traffic safety according to regulations.

This is a key project in the medium-term public investment plan of Son La city, with the goal of completing criteria for a second-tier urban area towards a first-tier one, meeting the travel needs of residents and creating conditions to attract investment resources, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development, synchronously connecting the transportation system, and expanding the city's urban space.
