The meeting was also attended by leaders of the provincial Party Committee Office and the Party Committee of Chieng Coi ward, and more than 50 Party members of the Me Ban hamlet Party cell.
Me Ban hamlet is home to 306 households and more than 1,200 residents, nearly 80% of whom are Thai. Since the beginning of the year, the Party cell has effectively carried out political and ideological education for officials and Party members, while focusing on directing and encouraging residents to restructure the local economy, diversify services and cottage industries, and apply science and technology to high-tech agricultural production and biosecure livestock farming.
Speaking at the meeting, Nghiem urged the Party cell to continue renewing and improving its leadership capacity and the quality of its meetings; regularly update and thoroughly disseminate directives and guidance issued by the Party Central Committee, and provincial and ward authorities; and step up public outreach to ensure their effective implementation. He also called for greater efforts to recruit new Party members in the locality.
He stressed the need to improve residents’ material and spiritual well-being, maintain public security and order, intensify anti-drug efforts, protect the environment in tandem with enhancing the urban landscape, and preserve and promote the community’s cultural identity.
