Deputy Secretary of the Son La provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Dinh Viet on March 16 chaired a meeting to address difficulties facing long-delayed projects financed by both private capital and the State budget. The meeting was attended by members of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee, vice chairpersons of the provincial People’s Committee, leaders of provincial departments and agencies, as well as representatives of project investors.

Joining the nationwide festival, on March 15 morning, at sub-areas 4, 5 and 6 of Polling Station No. 15, Mai Son commune, Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, attended the opening ceremony and cast his vote in the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.

On March 15 morning, in the joyful atmosphere of spring, together with voters across the country, voters from various ethnic groups in Son La province enthusiastically went to the polls to elect deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term. This is truly a great festival of the national great unity bloc, reflecting the strong will and steadfast trust of the people in the leadership of the Party, the governance of the Government, and the future development of the country.

According to preliminary data from the Son La provincial Election Committee, as of 9 a.m. on March 15, 32.61% of voters across the province had cast their ballots in the election for deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.

Amid the vibrant atmosphere of the nationwide festival, on the morning of March 15, Hoang Van Nghiem, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Son La provincial Party Committee, and head of the provincial Delegation of National Assembly (NA) Deputies, attended the opening ceremony of the election of deputies to the 16th NA and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, and exercised his civic duty at a polling station in To Hieu ward.

According to a rapid report by the Son La provincial Election Committee, as of 11:30am on March 15, 83.63% of voters across the province had cast their ballots in the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.

Vi Duc Tho, member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Council, on March 14 led a working delegation to inspect the preparations for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly an People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in Phu Yen, Gia Phu, and Tuong Ha communes.

Voters turned out early in Song Ma commune for election day, arriving at polling stations in formal attire and high spirits to take part in the country’s major event. Cha A Cua, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and President of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, attended the opening ceremony of the election and cast his ballot.

Supervision Delegation No. 05 of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board, led by Luong Thi Van Anh, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and head of the provincial Party Committee’s Internal Affairs Board, on March 14 inspected and supervised election preparations in the communes of Yen Chau, Long Phieng, Phieng Khoai, Yen Son, Chieng Hac, and Chieng Sai.

Nguyen Minh Tien, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, on March 5 chaired a meeting on the investment and construction progress of primary-secondary boarding schools in border communes. The meeting was connected online with the seven border communes of Muong Leo, Muong Lan, Sop Cop, Muong Hung, Chieng Khoong, Chieng Khuong, and Phieng Pan.

The Area 3 – Mai Son Defence Command’ enlistment point No. 1 held the 2026 military handover and enlistment ceremony at Tay Bac Square, To Hieu ward on March 6.

The Area 2 – Song Ma Defence Command held the 2026 military enlistment and handover ceremony at February 3 Square in Song Ma commune on March 6. Attending the event were Major General To Quang Hanh, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 2, and Cha A Cua, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and President of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

Amid the festive atmosphere of the 2026 enlistment day across Son La province, a military handover and enlistment ceremony was held at military handover and enlistment point No. 2 in Yen Chau commune on March 6. Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and head of the provincial Military Service Council, attended the event, and encouraged the new recruits as they set off for military service.

Son La province on March 6 held the 2026 military handover and enlistment ceremony to see off young people as they set out to fulfill the sacred duty of defending the Fatherland. A total of 1,995 citizens have been called up, including 1,400 for military service and 595 for service in the People’s Public Security forces.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dang Ngoc Hau on March 6 chaired a meeting with the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, related departments and agencies, and People’s Committees of communes and wards to review and propose contents for the national target programmes for the 2026–2030 period.
