Vesak is one of the most important annual celebrations in Buddhism, traditionally observed on the full moon day of the fourth lunar month to commemorate the birth of the Buddha. At the ceremony, a representative of the Executive Board of VBS Son La delivered the Vesak Message for Buddhist Calendar Year 2570 from the Supreme Patriarch of the VBS.

The Vesak message and commemorative address called on monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers to practice the Buddha’s teachings, promote compassion, solidarity, and altruism, and contribute to building a peaceful and harmonious world. They also encouraged spiritual purification and collective prayers for an end to war and the elimination of hatred.
