Provincial police launch training for reserve mobile police forces in 2026

The Son La provincial Department of Public Security on March 23 held the opening ceremony for a 2026 training course for its reserve mobile police forces.

Over 25 days, 160 officers from various divisions and commune- and ward-level police units across the province were briefed on key documents related to safeguarding national security and maintaining social order and safety, alongside political education, basic combat techniques, live-fire drills, advanced tactical and martial arts training, as well as firefighting and rescue operations.

A provincial police leader urged instructors and trainees to uphold a strong sense of responsibility, strictly observe the People’s Public Security regulations, training regimes and field and classroom rules, while proactively mastering course content and intensifying practice of combat techniques, tactics and martial arts for practical application in their work.

The training is expected to enhance professional effectiveness, coordination and operational readiness, meeting evolving requirements for maintaining social order and safety in the new context.
