The project has been implemented since June 2025 with funding from the Embassy of Ireland. It has directly supported the Quang Huy Agricultural Services Cooperative in low-emission organic rice production.

As part of the project, two training sessions were organised on organic rice cultivation techniques aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Biological alternatives to chemical inputs were introduced for pest control and crop care. Microbial products were provided for straw treatment in the fields, and a pilot MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification) system was implemented to assess greenhouse gas emissions in rice farming. The eGAP system was also applied for digital logging of production activities, input usage, and care procedures.

Preliminary evaluations show that the model has contributed to improved soil quality and sustainable field management. Average rice yields reached 6-7 tonnes per hectare, an increase of 10-15% compared to pre-project levels. The rice quality was highly rated, meeting domestic organic standards and aiming toward international certifications (EU Organic or USDA Organic).
The model not only supports national goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions but also serves as a pilot initiative for scaling up green agricultural transformation strategies in the northern midland and mountainous regions.
On this occasion, the Embassy of Ireland presented the VietFarm Low Emission Certification to the Quang Huy Agricultural Services Cooperative.
Prior to the meeting, the delegation visited the rice field model of the Quang Huy Agricultural Services Cooperative and participated in rice harvesting activities alongside local farmers.
