Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Cong and leaders of several departments and agencies also attended the event.
The meeting also focused on the reorganisation and merger of hamlets and schools, progress in health checkups for local residents, the development of a land database, and efforts to resolve long-standing problems related to stalled projects.
Following its merger with Chieng Phung commune and the reorganisation and merger of hamlets, Nam Ty commune now has 17 hamlets, 3,304 households, 16,676 residents and 17 hamlet Party cells.
During the first seven months of the year, the commune’s socio-economic situation remained stable. The total annual crop area reached 3,976 hectares, with production of major crops meeting or exceeding targets, while state budget revenue surpassed the set goal. Cultural, social and welfare programmes continued to receive attention, with 100% of residents covered by health insurance. National defence and security were maintained, while grassroots security forces were consolidated to help ensure local security and public order.
In the education sector, the commune reorganised its school network, reducing the number of schools from five to three, with 143 classes and class groups serving 4,266 students. The schools have completed personnel arrangements and asset handovers, ready for the new academic year.
The commune has also provided free health checkups and screenings for 592 residents, reaching 30.16% of the annual target. It has completed the verification and cleaning of data for 21,528 Group-2 land parcels, achieving 92.43% and ranking 19th among 75 communes and wards across the province.
Concluding the event, Cua praised the efforts of Nam Ty’s Party Committee and local authorities in carrying out assigned tasks. He called on the commune to effectively implement resolutions adopted by Party congresses at all levels and strive to fulfill its 2026 targets.
He also urged the locality to strengthen planning and planning management; ensure national defence, security, public order and social safety; effectively implement social welfare, ethnic and religious policies; and promote economic development in ethnic minority communities.
The commune was asked to accelerate surveying, cadastral documentation and the development of the land database; make thorough preparations for the 2026–2027 academic year; and effectively organise regular health checkups and free screenings for residents.
The official also emphasised the need to strengthen Party building and develop a clean and strong Party organisation, accelerate digital transformation, expand the use of the “Electronic Party Member Handbook”, and carry out Party administrative procedures in the digital environment./.
