Colourful "Old Tet Village" space at Happy Land Moc Chau

To welcome the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2025, the Happy Land Moc Chau tourist area, located in Lun hamlet, Muong Sang commune, Moc Chau district, has launched the "Old Tet Village" space, attracting a large number of visitors to explore, experience, and capture beautiful moments.

Taking visitors around the space, Nguyen Manh Hung, Director of Happy Land Moc Chau, said, “For generations, the Lunar New Year has been an important festival in the cultural history of the Vietnamese people, symbolizing the sacred moment that connects the old year with the new. With the desire to preserve traditional cultural values and create an interesting place for visitors to learn more about the unique customs and practices related to Tet, we have recreated the 'Old Tet Village' space."

The space is meticulously designed with over 40 traditional Tet-themed miniatures for visitors to check in. A standout feature of the space is the traditional Tet atmosphere, showcasing traditional cultural features of the Vietnamese people. The "Old Tet Village" is beautifully decorated with bamboo furniture, red couplets, and green square glutinous rice cakes (banh chung), conveying the message of the good things associated with spring.

At the space, young men and women can freely check in while dressed in traditional Ao dai (long dress). For children, it is also an opportunity to explore and experience the items and spaces or traditional Tet.

Officially opened for over a week, the "Old Tet Village" has attracted a large number of tourists. On average, it welcomes around 300-500 visitors on weekdays and approximately 1,500-2,000 visitors on weekends.

While strolling around the beautifully decorated "Old Tet Village" at Happy Land Moc Chau with friends, Ngo Thu Phuong, a visitor from the central city of Da Nang, was impressed by the images of traditional Tet that she hadn’t seen in a long time. She shared: "The decorations here are very beautiful and resemble the Tet of the past. My friends and I have taken many beautiful photos. From the tables and chairs to the tablecloths, vases, TVs, and rooftops, all remind me of the simple yet warm images of Tet in the old days."

Happy Land Moc Chau, spanning 10 hectares, is an attractive entertainment and resort complex in the plateau. Notably, the colourful flower garden features a variety of flowers planted in a harmonious mix, from the vibrant yellow of sunflowers, the red of rooster flowers, to the purple of violets, all standing out against the lush green backdrop of trees and grass, creating a picturesque scene.

At Happy Land Moc Chau, visitors can experience thrilling activities such as ATV racing, "Happy Slide" dry slide, or "Happy Sky" motorized paragliding to enjoy panoramic views of the tourist area, beautiful landscapes, and the peaceful, picturesque villages of the Moc Chau plateau. They can also join many unique and exciting games, including adventurous activities for young people like grass ball, water ball, and bumper balls; and traditional ethnic games, along with the chance to experience farming at Happy Farm.

Visitors can also choose to stay at Happy Land Moc Chau in colourful rooms or in traditional stilt houses of the Thai ethnic people, which are fully equipped and cozy, bringing about a warm experience during the Lunar New Year.

The unique combination of nature and attractive entertainment facilities, with a highlight being the "Old Tet Village," has created a distinctive mark for Happy Land Moc Chau. It promises to offer visitors unforgettable moments of relaxation with their loved ones and family during this Tet holiday.
