From the outset of the year, the association’s Standing Committee directed its chapters and member organisations to develop action plans aligned with actual conditions, ensuring compliance with the association’s charter and operational regulations.
Its Chairman Nguyen Quoc Khanh said the association has proactively developed an organisational restructuring plan in line with central and provincial directions on streamlining the administrative apparatus at the commune level and transitioning to a two-tier local government model.
After consulting the entire network and reaching consensus, the association’s Executive Committee issued a decision to reorganise business chapters and consolidate specialised committees, aiming to enhance the flexibility and effectiveness of member support and coordination.
A highlight in the first half of the year was the association’s increasingly prominent role in policy advocacy. It gathered and submitted recommendations on administrative reform, land access, credit, tax, insurance, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises to the provincial People’s Committee and relevant ministries and agencies. Several of these proposals have been acknowledged and promptly addressed.

The association has proactively expanded ties with counterparts across the region and the world, particularly in emerging areas such as digital transformation, OCOP (One Commune One Product) development, and corporate governance, enabling members to seek partners, access new markets, and enhance competitiveness.
In the first half of the year, the association co-organised a dialogue between the Chairperson of the provincial People’s Committee and the business community, while rolling out plans for legal support, investment promotion, and dissemination of new policies.
As a member of the provincial business association, Mocha Media & Travel Co., Ltd., based in Moc Son ward, has developed a range of unique and engaging tourism products aimed at connecting with travel agencies nationwide. Offerings include experiences such as celebrating Tet in Mong hamlets, trekking tours, educational excursions, leisure retreats, and both single-day and extended land tours.
Notably, the company has introduced a four-stop combo tour package tailored specifically for travel operators visiting the Moc Chau National Tourism Area, and designed to streamline itinerary planning and reduce costs. The package features key attractions including Mocha Hill, Dai Yem Waterfall, Happy Land, and seasonal flower gardens.
Director Nguyen Thi Khue said travel firms must constantly stay updated on policies related to land use, tax, and labour. The association has been instrumental in providing fast, accurate information and connecting the company with media partners to organise tourism stimulus workshops.
“Thanks to this support, we've been able to expand our tour offerings and strengthen regional linkages - an essential factor for sustainable tourism development,” she said.

With the support of the provincial business association, enterprises and cooperatives have been consistently enabled to take part in networking and trade promotion programsmes aimed at boosting product consumption.
Nguyen Xuan Thao, Director of Bich Thao Coffee Cooperative in Chieng Sinh ward, said the cooperative has participated in agricultural fairs and connected with trade promotion agencies both within and outside the province, helping raise the profile of its coffee products. The cooperative has also benefited from training on digital transformation, product traceability, and legal support for exports, contributing to the successful export of Son La coffee to multiple international markets.
Another highlight of the association’s operation is its coordination of member participation in social welfare initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable communities. In recent years, the association has mobilised its network to contribute over 35 billion VND (1.34 million USD) to social and charitable activities. Many businesses have actively taken part in efforts such as eliminating substandard housing, providing Tet support for low-income households, and sponsoring students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Nguyen Quoc Khanh emphasised that a business-for-community mindset and socially responsible entrepreneurship are the cornerstones of sustainable growth, earning public recognition and long-term support.
In the second half of 2025, the association will continue to strengthen investment linkages, support digital transformation, and coordinate grassroots-level dialogues with businesses. Major events such as Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day (October 13) and Business Culture Day (November 10) are being systematically planned to serve as platforms for networking, inspiring innovation, and promoting the image of Son La’s entrepreneurs in the era of integration.
With a business-centric orientation and support effectiveness as its benchmark, the association is reinforcing its position as a trusted partner and solid backbone for the local business community on the journey toward green, fast, and sustainable growth.
