Association connects businesses for development

Promoting its role as an organisation representing businesses and a bridge connecting them with state management agencies, Moc Chau district’s Business Association has supported its members to develop and invest in expanding production and business, increase revenue,  fulfill their obligation of paying to state budget, create jobs for locals, and actively participate in social welfare activities.

The Moc Chau Dairy Cattle Breeding Joint Stock Company presents a "great unity" house in Ta Lai commune, Moc Chau district.

The association currently has 61 members that are providing jobs for hundreds of local workers, and contributing hundreds of billions of Vietnamese dong to the district budget each year. Since its establishment, the association has promoted its role in representing and supporting members to connect, prioritise using each other's services, and strengthen solidarity between businesses in the locality and with those in other localities inside and outside Son La province.

An outstanding enterprise in production and business activities is the Moc Chau Best Tour Alliance, established in 2017 and specialising in the fields of services, tourism, restaurants, and hotels. As of late 2023, the alliance has had 12 members, namely Thao Nguyen Resort, Hoa Moc Chau Restaurant, Dairy Farm, Happy Land Moc Chau tourist site, 26 Tourism Joint Stock Company, Pha Luong Tourism Joint Stock Company, Gia Nguyen Restaurant, Salmon Restaurant 26, Mocha Travel company, Xuan Dung Travel company, and Ecofram Dai Yem Waterfall Resort.

Many members have created new, unique and attractive tourism products. For example, Moc Chau Island tourist site has launched new services: Gokart Formula 1 race and Moc Chau Space staircase product. Happy Land Moc Chau builds a new experience package "Mountainous life"; while Mocha and Xuan Dung Travel cooperate to create experience land tours taking visitors to destinations such as Hang Tau primitive village and Nang Tien waterfall.

Not only does it perform well the tasks of linking and assisting its members, in 2023, the association encouraged them to donate and support programmes on eliminating makeshift houses, and those aiding the poor and sponsoring students in difficult circumstances, supporting road construction, and supporting other social security activities, with a total amount of over 6 billion VND (244,500 USD). Among them, the Moc Chau Dairy Cattle Breeding JSC sponsored over 3 billion VND for the milk programme "For children's health" in Moc Chau and Van Ho districts; the Moc Chau Tourism and Media JSC coordinated with philanthropists to organise the gala programme "Full Moon Pairing", giving gifts worth 230 million VND to students in Chieng Khua commune, Moc Chau district; and the Hoa Moc Chau Restaurant organised "Meals for Children", cooking meals for 120 boarding students in Dong Sang commune every month.

Last year, Moc Chau district's budget revenue reached 295 billion VND. The district completed the removal of 308 makeshift houses, and Na Muong commune was recognised as meeting new-style rural area standards. The achievements were partly contributed by the business community and entrepreneurs. The district will continue to create a favourable environment for businesses to invest in the locality, with the goal of "Enterprises prosper, Moc Chau develops".
