Training session focuses on AI use in workplace

The Son La Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on August 15 organised a training session on the use of AI technology in the workplace for more than 200 officials, public employees, and workers across the entire sector.

During the training programme, experts from IGB Media JSC presented an overview and introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications in work and daily life; introduction and hands-on guidance on commonly used, simple, free AI tools that support daily tasks such as document drafting, information lookup and communication, suitable for all users (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini); an introduction of tools that convert speech to text and summarise meetings; and guidance on searching legal documents.

For the culture, sports and tourism sector, AI is not only a management support tool but also opens up many creative opportunities in professional work, communication, promotion, and public service. The training session provided basic knowledge, updated current trends, and guided the use of popular AI tools to serve work practically and effectively.

This activity is an important part of the department’s 2025 mission to develop science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. At the same time, it lays an important foundation for each staff member and public official to confidently apply AI, enhance professional capacity, and improve public service quality in the digital age, contributing to the overall digital transformation of the sector.
