Chieng Ban commune's fresh coffee cherry output estimated at 20,000 tonnes

Chieng Ban commune, Mai Son district, has 1,250 hectares of coffee. So far this year, local farmers have harvested about one third of the area, with an estimated fresh coffee cherry output of 20,000 tonnes for this crop.

Currently, farmers started harvesting early-ripening coffee cherries in some areas such as Cu 1, Cu 2, Ai, Ang, Tho and Mai Tien hamlets, and Cooperative 3, with a yield estimated at over 17 tonnes of cherries per hectare.

In the 2022 coffee crop, productivity will reach 16-17 tonnes per hectare, with total revenue of over 400 billion VND (16.4 million USD).
