Chieng Pha improves fruit tree quality

Chieng Pha commune, Thuan Chau district has 173 hectares of fruit trees, including mango, grapefruit, dragon fruit, longan and banana. Of which, 150 hectares have been harvested, with an output of over 1,500 tonnes per year.

The commune has encouraged farmers to focus on fertilizing, preventing pests and diseases, and improving product quality and packaging, thus meeting domestic consumption and export requirements.

To date, the commune has harvested more than 200 tonnes of mango and 250 tonnes of dragon fruit, with more than 5 tonnes of dragon fruit exported to the Italian market.
