Chieng Son develops high-tech agriculture

Developing high-tech agriculture, Chieng Son commune, Moc Chau district has promoted communications and persuaded residents to change production practices and crop structures, and apply mechanization to production.

The commune has coordinated with specialized agencies to organise training courses to guide farmers to apply science and technology, and build organic production and water-saving irrigation models for fruit trees.

Currently, the commune has 1,200 hectares of fruit trees, of which about 500 hectares are under harvest. There are 48 hectares applying water-saving irrigation technology and 137 hectares of organic production.

Chieng Ve Tea Joint Stock Company has provided technical support for growers of more than 300 hectares of tea and helped them with the sale, with an average annual income of 70 million VND ($2,875 USD) per ha.
