February aquatic output reaches 113 tonnes

Son La province’s total aquatic output in February is estimated at 113 tonnes, including 86 tonnes of fish, 23 tonnes of shrimp, and 4 tonnes of others.

The increase in aquatic output was attributed to the expansion of aquaculture area and growing consumer demand.

To spur aquaculture development, the provincial agriculture and rural development sector has focused on directing the application of biotechnology in selecting broodfish.
