Muong Bu has over 1,700 hectares of fruit trees of all kinds, of which 62 hectares of jujubes are grown according to VietGAP standards with a total output of over 860 tons. The Muong Bu giant jujubes have a sweet and crispy taste, favoured by many businesses, stores, supermarkets and consumers. The product has earned a brand and a foothold in the market, being sold at supermarkets such as BigC, Vinmart, Lotte, AEON, Co-op Mart and Metro; as well as many clean vegetables and fruit stores inside and outside the province.

At the festival, four teams from the Minh Thuong Agricultural Cooperative, the Hung Thinh Cooperative, the Doan Doan Cooperative and Ta Mo hamlet participated in activities like a jujube picking competition, fruit tray arrangement, trying jujubes, stick pushing and tug of war.

The festival was an opportunity for jujube growers to exchange, learn, and improve their knowledge and experience in growing and caring for the fruit, creating high-value products from jujubes; affirming the position, role and value of the Muong Bu giant jujube; and seeking investment, cooperation and development opportunities.
