"Shennong Star - For a bumper harvest" programme recorded in Son La

On December 20-21, the "Shennong Star - For a bumper harvest" programme of the Vietnam Television (VTV) recorded good production and business models in Son La province.

 Recording "Shennong Star - For a bumper harvest" programme at Tan Thao Cooperative in Xuan Que hamlet, Co Noi commune, Mai Son district.

Three typical models were selected for filming, including Tran Thi Tuyet's household in Kien Xuong hamlet, Phong Lai commune, Thuan Chau district - a poor household spending a loan from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies on production, and currently having 200 grapefruit trees and 30 orange trees intercropped with 8 hectares of tea; Tan Thao Cooperative in Tan Que hamlet, Co Noi commune, Mai Son district, with a strawberry seedling production and business model which creates annual revenue of 2.5-3 billion VND (123,300 USD); and Son La Agricultural Cooperative, with a model of raising 800 3B cows and producing organic fertiliser from earthworm farming.

The programme is implemented in the form of a reality show introducing real stories about production and business of families and cooperatives that are good at doing business, and have great contributions to local agricultural development to a large number of people and consumers at home and abroad. Accompanying the programme are famous artists, which is a favourable opportunity to promote product consumption.
