Over the past time, the department has coordinated with several relevant units to organise online training courses via the Zoom application for enterprises and cooperatives in the province to use digital transformation software.
It has also coordinated with the Plant Protection Department to build a database of growing area codes across the province; organise training courses on establishing and managing growing area codes for export, those for cultivation, and packaging facility codes.
At the same time, it has supported traceability (labelling) for local enterprises and cooperatives. To date, the province has maintained 216 growing area codes, including 205 for export, with a total area of nearly 3,000 hectares, and 11 others for cultivation, with over 150 hectares.
Speaking at the event, a leader of the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development requested relevant departments, agencies and People's Committees of districts and Son La city to continue to develop and implement plans for digital transformation in the agricultural sector in accordance with local conditions; integrate investment capital to build information technology infrastructure serving digitalisation in rural areas; strengthen dissemination of digital transformation among local people to raise their awareness, and support agricultural producers to access and adapt to digital technologies.
