Son La exports over 9,660 tonnes of fruit

The northern mountainous province of Son La has sold nearly 215,000 tonnes of fruit since the beginning of the harvest season, of which more than 9,660 tonnes were exported.

This year, the province is estimated to harvest over 456,000 tonnes of fruit.

Major fruits exported include banana (over 3,300 tonnes), longan (40 tonnes), dragon fruit (154 tonnes), passion fruit (over 126 tonnes), mango (over 6,000 tonnes), with a total export value of over 79.8 billion VND ($3.36 million).

The main export markets are China, the EU, the Republic of Korea, Germany, Russia and Italy, among others.

Currently, the province still has over 240,000 tonnes of fruit put for sale, including over 129,000 tonnes of longan, over 22,000 tonnes of banana, over 16,000 tonnes of mango, and more than 5,000 tonnes of passion fruit.
