Farmer members received basic knowledge such as diversifying crops in coffee gardens; managing grass instead of using herbicides; economic benefits when managing natural grass; photosynthesis – a decisive factor for crop productivity; how to use fertilizers, prune and prevent pests and diseases on coffee trees.
The training session is one of the contents of the project "Intensive organic coffee farming to increase value, contributing to stability and sustainable development" in 2023 invested by the Farmers' Union of Son La province. The model will be implemented in 2023-2026, with the participation of 20 farmer households and a scale of 10 hectares.
The training course equipped farmers with basic knowledge and practical experience in coffee production and re-cultivation to apply the model in accordance with local conditions and promote climate change-adaptive production, contributing increasing productivity, quality and economic efficiency in coffee production.
