Perennial crop production in Son La remained stable in 2023, with the areas of some trees expanded. Localities paid attention to intensive farming and increasing productivity. Such major trees as mango, plum and longan saw high outputs thanks to the expansion of their areas.

Currently, the total area of perennial trees in Son La stands at 115,548 hectares, up 4.4% from one year earlier, of them fruit and Son tra (hawthorn) trees making up 84,160 hectares, and perennial industrial crops, including rubber, coffee, tea, spices and medicinal herbs, 31,388 hectares./.
