Son La province boasts 886 agricultural cooperatives

Over the past time, Son La province has issued and applied many mechanisms and policies to support the establishment of cooperatives and create favourable conditions for them to develop and expand production and business.

In July, the whole province established three new agricultural cooperatives, bringing the total number of cooperatives operating in the agricultural sector to 886, and six agricultural cooperative unions with 30 member cooperatives and more than 600 labourers.

Many products of cooperatives have been rated as typical rural agricultural products, achieving OCOP (One Commune Once Product) certification of three stars or higher, serving domestic consumption and exports to many markets such as the UK, the US, France, Japan, the Republic of Korea and China.
