Son La province has 829 agricultural cooperatives

Son La province established 12 new agricultural cooperatives in October, bringing the total number of cooperatives operating in the agricultural sector to 829, along with six cooperative unions.

Members of the Quynh Thuan Agricultural Cooperative in Chieng Pha commune, Thuan Chau district harvest dragon fruit for export.

Over the past years, the province has issued many support mechanisms and policies and reformed administrative procedures, creating the most favorable conditions for cooperatives to operate.

Many products of the cooperatives are considered typical rural agricultural products, achieving One Commune One Product (OCOP) certification of three stars or higher, serving domestic consumption and exports to many markets around the world such as the UK, the US, France, Japan, the Republic of Korea and China.

These cooperatives have contributed significantly to budget revenue and created jobs for many local workers.
