In the first nine months of 2024, the index of industrial production (IIP) in the province increased by 27% compared to the same period last year.

Notably, the electricity and gas production and distribution sector rose 34.5%, while the processing and manufacturing industry grew 5% and the water supply and wastewater management sector went up 3.8%. 

Key industrial products that saw year-on-year production increases included commercial electricity, 34.57%; cassava starch, 28.45%; commercially supplied water, 3.81%; pasteurized milk, 4.14%; and processed tea, 0.09%.
