Son La’s July fruit output hits 79,414 tonnes

The northwestern province of Son La harvested 79,414 tonnes of fruits of all kinds in July, up 2.43% over the same period last year.

The province now has 83,482 hectares of fruits and Son Tra (Hawthorn), including 19,743 hectares of longan, 19,800 hectares of mango, 12,253 hectares of plum, 5,904 hectares of banana; and 25,782 hectares of other fruits and Hawthorn.

To meet domestic consumption and export, Son La province has focused on directing quality management; continued to grant planting area codes and strengthened management, guidance and supervision in fruit farming areas with codes; and supported registration of trademark protection for some potential products.
