Van Ho district harvests over 10,800 tonnes of fruit

Van Ho district’s fruit output reached over 10,800 tonnes in 2023, exceeding the yearl plan by 15.7%.

Local farmers last year planted 73 hectares of new fruit trees, increasing its total of fruit tree area to more than 4,300 hectares, including 352 hectares of orange, 652 hectares of plum, 797 hectares of longan, 970 hectares of mango, 467 hectares of grapefruit, and 170 hectares of banana.

In 2024, Van Ho will continue to encourage locals to change crop structure to new varieties with high productivity and product quality; focus on intensive farming, applying science and technology to production and building safe production areas meeting VietGAP process, striving to raise its total fruit tree area to 4,400 hectares.
