The district’s fresh tea bud yield reached 10 tonnes per hectare, with an estimated output of 4,000 tonnes, up 2.5% compared to the same period last year.
The district People's Committee has directed the communes to persuade local farmers to produce tea under VietGAP standards; support research on new products from tea; link the building of tea product brands with tourism services development in the locality.
Since the beginning of this year, Van Ho district has maintained intensive farming of over 1,430 hectares of tea, mainly Shan Tuyet tea, in Van Ho, Chieng Khoa, To Mua and Chieng Yen communes.
