Visit to economic development models in Mai Son district

The provincial Agricultural Extension Centre on December 11 organised a visit to typical economic development models in Mai Son district for more than 100 delegates who are representatives from cooperatives, technical and agricultural extension officials and farmers in the province.

The activity formed part of a seminar on community-based agricultural extension in connection with the development of agricultural raw material areas.

Delegates visit a sweet corn planting model at Hoang Dat Cooperative, Mai Son district.

The delegation visited a sweet corn planting model at Hoang Dat Cooperative in Lieng Quynh hamlet, Muong Bang commune, and DOVECO Son La fruit and vegetable processing centre in Sub-zone 10, Hat Lot commune, Mai Son district. They discussed production techniques and economic efficiency of the models, as well as plans and solutions for the sale of agricultural products.

The visit helped production households identify technical standards for agricultural products to ensure they meet processing requirements for domestic consumption and export, and contributed to improving the capacity of community-based agricultural extension teams to develop raw material areas serving processing and export.
