Before the closing ceremony, athletes competed in the final events of the over-63 kg and over-79 kg categories for the women’s 15–16 age group, as well as the men’s 13–14 and 15–16 age groups. The competitions showcased a high level of technical excellence and featured many promising young athletes delivering outstanding lifting performances.
The final day of competition concluded in an intense and exciting atmosphere. This year’s tournament attracted 221 athletes aged 13–16 from 26 provinces and cities nationwide. Competitors took part in the clean and jerk and snatch events, with weight categories of 56 kg, 60 kg, 65 kg, 71 kg, 79 kg and over 79 kg for men, and 44 kg, 48 kg, 53 kg, 58 kg, 63 kg and over 63 kg for women.
According to the organising committee, this year’s tournament was held safely and professionally, with clear improvements observed in the young athletes’ technical skills, expertise, and physical fitness.
At the end, the organising committee awarded first-, second-, and third-place flags in the following categories: men’s team events for the 13–14 and 15–16 age groups, women’s team events for the 13–14 and 15–16 age groups, as well as overall awards for the top-performing delegations.
The Hanoi delegation claimed first place with 30 gold, eight silver, and 16 bronze medals, while the host delegation, Son La, secured third place in the women’s team event for the 13–14 age group.
The tournament provided an opportunity to assess the training of young athletes by local units nationwide, while creating a platform for athletes to exchange, learn, sharpen their skills and gain experience, thereby improving their professional level.
At the same time, it helped identify young talent for national youth teams on their journey toward new achievements.
