The police will monitor and manage individuals involved in drug trafficking, and dismantle large, transnational drug smuggling rings.

They will focus on effectively implementing the Government's Project 06 on developing population data applications, electronic identification and authentication to serve national digital transformation; detecting and preventing corruption, economic crimes, and environmental violations; strengthening management of residence, immigration, weapons and explosives; ensuring traffic order and safety; and preventing fires and explosions during Tet.

Addressing the function, Cong urged all departments, agencies, units and localities to actively cooperate with the police in addressing any emerging challenges. "It is essential that the entire political system, along with the people, works together to ensure public safety and order during this critical time," he said.
