Central and provincial officials inspect progress of Muong Lan boarding school project

Delegations from the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Inspection and Son La province inspected construction progress of the Muong Lan Primary and Secondary Boarding School project on August 16.

The delegation from the Commission for Inspection was led by Dang Van Nhiem, Deputy Director of Area II under the commission’s Office and head of the inspection team. Meanwhile, the provincial delegation was headed by Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.

At the Muong Lan Primary and Secondary Boarding School, the delegations inspected construction progress across the project’s various components.

Overall construction has reached approximately 78%, up 2.5 percentage points from the previous week. The primary school classroom building is 94% complete, while the secondary school classroom building has reached 83%.

Progress on the primary school dormitory stands at 61%, compared with 65% for the secondary school dormitory. The student canteen is 60% complete. The construction site currently has 352 workers, an increase of 31 from the previous week.

Following the site inspection, representatives of the inspection team and the provincial People’s Committee called on the project investor and contractor to further accelerate construction while maintaining efficient and well-organised work schedules.

They were also asked to mobilise sufficient manpower, machinery and construction materials to keep the project on track.

Construction must strictly follow the approved design documents and meet requirements for quality, technical standards, aesthetics and safety, the officials said.

Once completed, the project’s facilities should be fully integrated, modern and functional, while providing a well-designed environment and attractive landscape.

The project investor and contractor were also instructed to conduct regular inspections and quality reviews of each construction component, promptly address any shortcomings and ensure the project is completed on schedule and delivers its intended investment benefits./.
