Ceremony held to launch military training for 2024

The Son La provincial Military Command and the provincial Border Guard Command held a ceremony on March 1 at Infantry Battalion I to launch training for officers and soldiers for training in 2024.

At the event, units evaluated the results of training in 2023 and thoroughly grasped the training plan for 2024. This year, the units focus on leading and directing training in accordance with the motto "Basic - Substantive - Firm"; well implementing three perspectives, eight principles, and six combinations in training; attaching importance to concerted and intensive training, with practice as the main focus; proficiently using existing weapons and equipment, especially new and modern ones; building comprehensively strong, "exemplary and typical" agencies and units as stated in Directive No. 79/CT-BQP dated July 22, 2022 of the Minister of National Defence. The units will strive to fully complete the training programmes, contents, and duration for all officers and soldiers, particularly new recruits in 2024.

On this occasion, the Ministry of National Defence presented the 2023 Excellent Training Unit Flag to Regiment 754, the provincial Military Command. The units launched an emulation movement and signed an emulation commitment "Following in the footsteps of Dien Bien soldiers - Moving forward to win ‘ba nhat’ (three firsts)" to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

The training period is divided into two phases: from March 1 to July 15, and from August 1 to December 15.
