Provincial leaders present gifts to people in Thuan Chau district

Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and head of the provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies Nguyen Huu Dong on January 24 led a delegation to inspect the situation, and give gifts to people in Thuan Chau district.

The delegation included Lo Minh Hung, Permanent Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Hoang Quoc Khanh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; and Nguyen Thai Hung, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Chairman of the provincial People's Council.

The delegation inspected construction the Martyrs' Memorial project on Pha Din Pass, Phong Lai commune, where the Secretary presented gifts to the construction unit, and asked it to overcome difficulties, and speed up the construction progress in accordance with weather and terrain conditions.

Pha Din Pass was recognised as a national relic site under Decision No. 3087 dated October 27, 2020 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Concretising the decision, the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee directed an overall review of the Pha Din Pass area in Son La territory and issued a policy to implement the site planning of Pha Din Pass cultural and historical relic site in Thuan Chau district. Based on the results of the subdivision planning, Thuan Chau district has focused on directing the making of the general planning of the memorial.

Leaders give gifts to the Party Committee and People's Committee of Long He commune

On the same day, the delegation paid a pre-Tet visit to the family of Thao Xuan Sung, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, and former Secretary of the Son La provincial Party Committee; presented gifts to the Party Committee and People's Committee of Long He commune and 50 local poor households; and offered incense to commemorate late President Ho Chi Minh at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House in Thuan Chau district.
