The province is implementing biodiversity conservation plans, planting over 1,300 hectares of new forest, regenerating nearly 758 hectares, and preparing dossiers for the establishment of the Muong La – Ta Xua Biosphere Reserve.
Associate Professor, Doctor Tran Minh Tien speaks at the working session.
Following field surveys in several localities, VAAS recommended that Son La intensify biodiversity research, promote the transfer of scientific and technological advances, develop climate-smart farming models, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and build sustainable agricultural value chains.
Vice Chairman Cong welcomed the recommendations and proposed that VAAS continue supporting Son La in developing scientific research projects, formulating detailed planning for agricultural production zones, strengthening plant variety management, and ensuring the supply of high-quality seeds to improve productivity and farmers’ income.
