Attending the meeting were also Dao Tai Tue, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Director of the Department of Construction; Nguyen Minh Tien, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; and leaders from several provincial departments and agencies.
After the mergers, the Party committees and local governments of the three communes quickly stabilised their organisations and successfully organised their first Party Congresses for the 2025-2030 term. After the congresses, the Standing Boards of the Party Committees and the Party Committees of the communes organised the dissemination of the congress resolution, issued the working regulations for the first-term communal Party Committees, and developed a monitoring, inspection, and working programmes for the entire term.
The communes focused on implementing budget collection solutions and pushing for the resolution of tax arrears. They issued plans to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation. The communes continued reviewing and simplifying administrative procedures. At the same time, they led and directed the people to develop the economy and society, ensure national defence and security, and build a strong political system.
At the meeting, the communes requested that the province invest in building working offices, dormitories for staff, and additional supporting infrastructure, such as cultural houses, classrooms, stadiums, and markets; upgrade transportation infrastructure; and approve investment plans for flood drainage systems and projects to resettle communities affected by natural disasters. They also requested additional staff and civil servants to ensure the effective implementation of their tasks.
The leaders of the provincial People's Committee and various departments and agencies took note of the communes' proposals and answered issues within their authority.
Speaking at the meeting, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee urged the Party committees and local authorities of the communes to continue building on their achievements, address challenges, and effectively implement the resolutions of the Party congresses at all levels. He emphasised strengthening and improving the quality of political and ideological education, monitoring public opinion, and continuing to strictly implement inspection and supervision work, as well as combating corruption, waste, and negative behaviors.
The communes should reinforce a political system that is close to the people, improve the quality of the staff, and make the best use of existing facilities. Furthermore, they were urged to continue to review and allocate staff according to their abilities and strengths, enhance training, and improve the capacity of civil servants.
Finally, he called for the promotion of information technology applications and digital transformation in local government activities, aligned with the "digital government serving the people" model.
