More than one year since its launch, the contest received 49 journalism works selected from the grassroots levels, reflecting all areas related to military and defence work in the province.
Many works delved into the outcomes of leadership, direction, and implementation of resolutions in the province's defence and military activities. They highlighted the proactive and creative approaches of local Party committees, authorities, the provincial Military Command, and district-level military commands in ensuring local defence and military operations. They also showcased role models, exemplary deeds, and economic development models led by "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in various localities, who play a pioneering role in movements on border security safeguarding, disaster prevention, and social charity, as well as efforts to help people gradually stabilise their lives.
In terms of literary and art works, the organising board received 156 works from 61 participants across various disciplines, including literature, music, photography, fine arts, and cinema. These works closely adhered to the themes, deeply exploring different aspects of the lives and activities of officers and soldiers in the armed forces. They reflected the strong bond between the military and the people in both peacetime and wartime.
For press works, the organising board awarded five A, five B, five C, and 10 consolation prizes. Regarding literary and art works, three A, five B, five C, and 16 consolation prizes were presented.
Notably, Son La Newspaper submitted 19 entries from individual and group authors, with 11 works winning awards, including two A, two B, and three C, and four consolation prizes.
